BeachBoomerang 2011

12^th BeachBoomerang closed the boomerang season both in Italy and Europe.
32 throwers, coming from 5 different countries, have taken part to this classic tournament on the beach of Viareggio. The tournament has been blessed by two wonderful sunny days with perfect wind conditions.

The podium of the tournament: 1^st Manuel Schütz (CH), 2^nd Fridolin Frost (D), 3^rd Arnaud Tribillon. A highlight of the torunament has been the Aussie Round world record, obtained by Fridolin Frost (99 points) for the second time after four years on the same beach of Viareggio.
The italian thrower were not spectators only: Andrea Sgattoni e Alessandro Benedetti placed 4^th and 5^th respectively in the ranking. Andrea Sgattoni won 2 events: Fast Catch (17,04 seconds, new italian record) and MTA (45,69 seconds) and placed 3^rd in Endurance (69 cathces, new italian record), Alessando Benedetti won Trick Catch Doubling scoring 102 points. Antonio Scarpellino placed first in the general ranking in the category Over50.

The results of tournament

The tournament was valid as 2011 Italian Championship. Tied italian champions Andrea Sgattoni and Alessandro Benedetti, 3^rd place for Renato Banalotti, whereas first in the Over 50 Antonio Scarpellino.
